Have you all heard enough of my drinking stories yet? Are you sick and tired of my seemingly imperturbable bliss, here in Prague? Well, I'm sorry, but I have to tell you one more thing about how badly I am behaving, and how much fun I'm having. Sorry.
While it's true that I have studied hard, and I've earned a prestigious and internationally recognized teaching credential; I have to tell you all that if there's ONE THING that I've learned over the past five weeks, it's that I MUST stop drinking anywhere near this guy. Apparently, alcohol is like some kind of crazy TRUTH SERUM that brings out the very worst in me, and causes me to be unable to restrain myself from things like, for instance, asking if I can look down his shirt and check him for chest hair. Twice. Even though I do believe my victim, ever so generously, absolves me of all responsibility, I will own that there was some drunkard's remorse. When will I ever grow up?!
Meanwhile, back on the homefront, I want to congratulate my dear friend, Mr. RCJohnso, whose solidly constructed, totally watchable and creditably made film Brick, which really has some gripping moments and scenes that will leave a definite impression, especially once the soundtrack is finished, will be seen at the Sundance Festival this year. For the record, I'm probably going to want to refrain from drinking much when Mr. Johnso is around, as well; and I already know about his chest hair. Be forewarned, Rian.
I'll be home soon.
