In a few short hours, I will flying over the North Pole on my way to Zurich and then Prague. In the past few days, I've been saying goodbye to all of my dearly beloved friends, and feeling so lucky that I have so many people I love, and who love me, too.
In the past few days, I've been obsessing about the election, cleaning the house like a maniac, trying, but failing miserably, to pack light, and fretting over whether or not this rash expediture of my limited funds is the final evidence that I am insane. Also, I've been fantasizing about drinking coffee in a cafe in Prague, where none of the talk around me makes sense to my ears, and riding the subway and trams to go from place to place in a beautiful city, while wearing my hat and scarf, and some nice pink lip gloss.
Mostly though, I've been drinking in every moment with my sweet baby. Jakey, here is my message to you: I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH. I'm putting this picture on my website so that I can see it on the internet(s) anywhere I go:

How did I get so lucky, people?
While I'm gone, I expect you all to make sure that John Kerry is elected president. Also, I am officially begging you all to write me loads of messages. It's always just on the eve of departure that it hits me how much I'm going to miss everyone.
LOVE AND KISSES TO YOU ALL!

Bon voyage, CJ! We'll all be checking daily for the Prague Blog (c).

Uh, Yeah. We're going to need some serious Prague Blog. Have a safe flight and be on the lookout for good mineral stains! Don't be jocking too many of those cute Eastern European boys, now...

We should all be crazy enough to follow our dreams. Besides, look at the world, crazy is the new black.
Best of luck and wave as you fly over head, I'll be the one on the bike with the "Canadian's for Kerry" sticker on his helmet.

CJ,
Have a lovely time. We will be sure to elect John Kerry for president, so no worries there (though, just in case, my fingers and legs are crossed). I hope you are able to get online without too much trouble, as the world awaits the Prague Blog.
Drink a bottle of wine for us and a coffee and some chocolate.
Ms. H.

Better yet, enjoy -- skip regret entirely -- enjoy more.
Have a swell flight (free booze! to hell with all that codswallop about not drinking on planes) and a comfy landing in Praha. Don't forget us sad gaywads back in Kerryland (South Kerrylina?).

Oh my dearest darling monkey! I have tried so many times to call you. I have a new Czech phone number for this month, so as soon as I can, I will call you and tell you what it is. I am just fine, but have now started school, so I will be working hard. Tomorrow, I have to teach students for the first time! OH NO!
LOVE!
